RSI Autumn Halter Event - Primrose

Adi was new to the stable and this would be her first show, she had been working very closely with Prim in an attempt to get to know her before coming to the show and so far this mare was her favorite in the stable. She was easy to handle and get along with, as long as you didn't get her dirty or offend her in any way.

They were outside the ring waiting for their turn. Evadene was here with Opal one of the Zlesdin horses. Even though Adi had been working around horses for a long time the Zlesdins in the stable intimidated her a little, they had very strong personalities and handling them wasn’t an easy task, especially if you didn’t have a bond with them. She was really glad she wasn’t the one handling Opal today. Evadene was still in the grooming area, really trying to get Opal to shine. Adi patted Prim on the neck who was preoccupied with grazing, thankfully she was really easy to groom.

Adi was glad she was on the taller side for a girl, but still keeping up with Prims huge gates was a hard task. If she went too slow Prim didn’t look her best, when she got her going the right speed Prim had a beautiful trot. Large and flowing, she picked her knees up high, and being dressage trained she had a great carriage and topline. Adi couldn’t wait to show her off.

The steward on the outside of the ring gestured her forward, it was just about their turn to enter the ring. Adi collected her lead, lifting Prims head from the ground. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Evadene and Opal, guess they were done with their grooming and had come to wait for their turn. Evadene smiled and gave her a thumbs up, Adi tried to look calm and nodded back at her with a little smile.

Adi lead Prim into the arena, collecting her lead even more and asked her to trot, the judge was waiting at the other end of the arena where she would ask Prim to stand and wait for the instructions of the judge.
